Welcome to North Berkeley Couples Therapy Center.
What We Offer
We are a dynamic team of expert clinicians, clinical psychologists, sexologists, couples & sex therapists, coaches and psychotherapists specializing in relationship and sexual enrichment. We help people have healthy, loving and equitable relationships. All of our couples counselors, sex therapists and coaches are highly trained in working with the intricacies of relationship dynamics, communication, emotional & sexual intimacy and attachment issues. We operate from a positive holistic and diversity -normative lens, rather than one of pathology or negativity, So, in other words, we understand that humans and human relationships are rich, messy, complicated and rooted in the need to feel connected and valued by ones intimates. We believe that there is a tremendously vast range of "normal" human experiences, especially in the realms of emotional, social and sexual feelings, needs and desires.. We work with your highly personal and unique needs, story and goals to support you in releasing that which holds you back from fulfilling your highest authentic and connected self in your relationships. We utilize an eclectic yet highly specialized blend of evidenced-based theories and therapy modalities which are rooted in the latest research in neuroscience and attachment to help you enhance your relationship.
Our San Francisco & East Bay Area couples counselors and sex therapists offer an array of expert mental health services to help you manage relationship and intimacy issues. We also provide treatment for trauma, relational, mood and anxiety issues. Our counselors specialize in couples counseling, attachment, relationship issues, and sex therapy.
We have put together a talented team of top-rated relationship therapists, who use the newest couples therapy modalities and cutting-edge treatments to enhance your relationship and communication.
Collectively, we have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy for Couples (AEDP), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Hakomi, Gestalt, sex therapy, parenting issues, perinatal psychotherapy, child play therapy and other leading modalities.
All of our clinicians have advanced degrees (doctorate and master level) in clinical psychology, as well as additional relationship therapy training. Our staff engages in on-going continuing education to maintain their expertise and knowledge.
At North Berkeley Couples Therapy Center, we believe we all have the capacity to deepen our self-awareness and heal our pain through a collaborative and transformative therapy relationship.
